Below are a couple of exciting ministry opportunities.  If you or your small group would like to participate, please reply to this post or notify any member of the Local Ministry Team (Don Phelps, Larry Pumpelly, Kevin Kubota, Amie Nixdorf, Lisa Wright, and Erin Thomas).

Statistics show that on any given day in the Richmond region there are at least 1,150 sheltered and unsheltered men, women, and children experiencing homelessness.  500-800 of homeless individuals in a given year are children, who have an increased risk of then experiencing homelessness as adults.  (Statitics provided by Homeward, Dec 2007 “Ten Year Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness in the Richmond Region).  With the current economy, these statistics will likely increase.
